The Desire Within Me

‘I have a desire within me that cannot be satisfied by anything in this world. The only profitable explanation of this is that I was made for another world.’ C. S. Lewis

We search and look for…something.
Something holy. Something pure.
Something beyond words.
We see hints in the mountains
and the depths of the sea.
All of nature sings it’s song.
We look and we listen.
Is it real? Is it true?
As time passes and life dulls our senses,
doubts of it’s existence enter our mind.
It’s all just fantasy, fairy tales for children,
an illusion to tease our emotions.
But the hope remains, might it be true?
Something magical and breathtaking, beyond compare.
Something God would be willing to share.
